Badar H. Syed, MD
Dr. Syed received his undergraduate degree at University of Karachi, Pakistan. He attended medical school at Dow Medical College, one of the most prestigious medical schools in Pakistan. He then completed his neurology residency at the University of Minnesota. After which he finished fellowships in Epilepsy/ Neuro-muscular diseases (Clinical Neurophysiology) at University of Minnesota. Subsequently, Dr. Syed moved to Atlanta to finish another fellowship in sleep medicine at Emory University. After completing his training, Dr. Syed worked at Emory University as Assistant Professor of Neurology and the Co-Director of Emory Sleep Disorders Center. He has been working in private practice at Gwinnett Neurology and Sleep Disorders Clinic since 2002.
Dr. Syed has expertise in Epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders and sleep disorders. He is also using botulinum toxin to treat neurological disorders. In addition, he consults patients with general neurology related illnesses such as headache, back pain, etc.
Dr. Syed was voted among the “BEST DOCTORS IN GWINNETT” by Gwinnett Magazine.
